Bio:

Dr. Frederiksen was born and raised in Sterling, Colorado. After finishing her undergraduate degree in Microbiology at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado, she spent time enjoying the outdoor Colorado life in Vail, Colorado before starting her medical career attending Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska. After earning her degree in Medicine, she completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah. While there, she enjoyed excellent and high volume training in all facets of obstetrics and gynecology including high risk pregnancy care and advanced gynecologic surgical procedures. Following completion of her residency training, Dr. Frederiksen served in the United States Air Force, finishing her service to the women and families of the military and resigning her commission at the rank of Major in June of 2004. Since that time, she has been in private practice here in Colorado. She excels in management of all obstetrical care including high risk pregnancies and enjoys utilizing her training and extensive years of experience in the operating suite as well. Dr. Frederiksen can passionately deliver care to women in all of the following areas: Low and high risk pregnancy care and coordination, general gynecologic needs from adolescence through menopause and beyond, female cancer screening, preventive care, medical and surgical management of abnormal bleeding, pelvic pain, endometriosis, uterine fibroids, ovarian and/or tubal pathology and urinary incontinece. Additionally, she provides evaluation and intervention for hormonal imbalances. Dr. Frederiksen also enjoys spending time with her family, husband, children and grandchildren, riding and competing reining horses, reading and cooking! She believes that she can help women maintain their physical and emotional health by delivering specialized personal and compassionate obstetrical and gynecologic care.
