Bio: 

Dr Roukema is a Colorado native who attended University of Northern Colorado, earning top honors in Chemistry. Upon admission to medical school he received his commission in the US Air Force in 1976. After medical school he completed his OB/GYN residency at Travis air Force Base in California. After Residency Dr. Roukema served as staff OB/GYN at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois. Following 8 years of active duty, he continued to serve in the US Air Force Reserves and Air National Guard as a flight surgeon, retiring in 2001. He continues to fly regularly as a private pilot, including donation flights for Air Lifeline. 

Dr. Roukema is board certified by both the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American Osteopathic Board of OB/GYN. He is an experienced surgeon and has special interest in pre-menopausal and menopausal women's health. 

Dr. Roukema enjoys and is active in teaching medical students and residents.
